What is family caregiving?

Helping a mother get dressed, supporting a partner with eating or assisting someone with personal hygiene: care often starts with small, repeated tasks. You do not need to already work in healthcare to ask about your options.

When can care be paid?

An authorised Spitex provider can employ and supervise relatives for assessed care. Payment covers agreed, documented care tasks. Companionship, shopping and housework do not automatically count as paid basic care.
